Why can't I find a specific ad?

Learn about the most common reasons why an ad may not appear in Legentic search results and what you can do to find it.

There are several reasons why a specific ad may not be available in Legentic.

Search settings

Before investigating further, check the following:

  • The search value is entered correctly.

  • You have selected the correct search type.

  • Your filters are not too restrictive.

  • Try searching across All countries, as some ads may occasionally be indexed under the wrong country.

Data collection scope

Not all categories are collected in every country. For example, in some regions Legentic collects only selected categories, such as vehicle ads.

If you would like to know which categories are available for a specific country, please contact support@legentic.com.

Price and retention limits

Some ads may not be available because they fall outside our collection policy:

  • For most non-vehicle categories (including bicycles and trailers), ads priced below €200 are not collected.

  • Ads older than 5 years are no longer retained in the platform.

Temporary collection limitations

Occasionally, an ad may not be collected due to temporary circumstances, such as:

  • A sudden increase in the number of newly published ads.

  • Temporary blocking by the source website.

  • Ads that are published and removed within a very short period before they can be collected.

Although we continuously monitor and improve our collection process, these situations can occasionally result in missing data.

If you believe an ad should be available but cannot find it, please contact support@legentic.com with as much information as possible, such as the source website, URL (if available), country, and publication date.

Additional notes

  • Images are not stored for ads priced below €50.

  • Up to 50 images are collected for each ad.

  • Some websites initially publish ads without images and add them later. In these cases, Legentic may collect the ad before the images become available.
