In this article, we'll walk you through the simple steps to enable MFA and add an extra layer of defense to keep your Legentic account safe from unauthorized access
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) increases account security by requiring both your password and a second form of verification, such as a code from a mobile app.
To configure MFA on your account:
- Go to the login page and sign in with your credentials or Social Login
- Scan the QR code presented on the screen through an authenticator app (i.e., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator). The app will display a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds
- Type the current code from the app into "Enter your one-time code" to confirm and activate MFA.
- You will receive a Recovery code that can be used to verify you next time without an app
- The next time you log in, you can verify your account by opening the authenticator app and entering the one-time 6-digit code, receiving a code via email or inputting a Recovery code. Remember to check the "Remember this device for 30 days" box if you do not want to have to verify your login each time.
