Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

In this article, we'll walk you through the simple steps to enable MFA and add an extra layer of defense to keep your Legentic account safe from unauthorized access

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) increases account security by requiring both your password and a second form of verification, such as a code from a mobile app.

To configure MFA on your account:

  1. Go to the login page and sign in with your credentials or Social Login
  2. Scan the QR code presented on the screen through an authenticator app (i.e., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator). The app will display a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds
  3. Type the current code from the app into "Enter your one-time code" to confirm and activate MFA.
  4. You will receive a Recovery code that can be used to verify you next time without an app
  5. The next time you log in, you can verify your account by opening the authenticator app and entering the one-time 6-digit code, receiving a code via email or inputting a Recovery code. Remember to check the "Remember this device for 30 days" box if you do not want to have to verify your login each time.
