Search by VIN

A Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) uniquely identifies a vehicle and is often the most reliable vehicle search method.

How to Search

Enter the VIN directly or use one of the following identifiers from the menu on the right-side:

  • exact_vin:"1HGCM82633A123456"

  • partial_vin:"SALEA6BW4R2285772"

The difference between these two identifiers:

  • the exact_vin: prioritizes and displays results that match the complete VIN exactly at the top of results. It now supports non-standard formats for older vehicles (pre-1982).

6

  • the partial_vin: looks for results where the VIN partially matches the search term, regardless of whether a full or partial VIN was entered. These results appear below exact matches.
