What does the published date mean?

Learn why the published date shown in Legentic may differ from the original publication date of an ad.

The Published Date displayed in Legentic can represent different dates, depending on the information available from the original source.

It may refer to one of the following:

Original publication date

Whenever available, Legentic displays the date the ad was originally published on the source website.

Discovery date

If the original publication date is not provided by the source, Legentic displays the date the ad was first discovered and added to the Legentic dataset.

Recollection date

In rare cases, if a source website was temporarily unavailable due to technical issues, Legentic may recollect the data once access is restored. In these situations, the displayed date may reflect when the ad was recollected rather than its original publication date.

If you have questions about the published date of a specific ad, please contact support@legentic.com.
